Phantom Body
Performance and fashion collection (2019)
Choreography and performance for fashion designer Henna Aaltonen, with dancers/performers Songkun Wan and Garrett Nunnik
Phantom Body is a genderfluid performance and fashion collection. Created as a collaboration between Lisa Hennig-Olsen and men’s wear designer Henna Aaltonen, Phantom Body sees clothing as a second body, explores flickering corporality, gender and half-digital utopia. The performance explores the relationship between body and garment, and body through metamorphosis. The work makes use of improvisation, meditation, body scanning and embodying through contact. Establishing, through exploration, a particular movement vocabulary allowed for both performers to naturally develop their own presence as Phantom Bodies.
