A SPACE FOR THE INCLUSIVE BODY AS A PLACE OF ORIGIN WITH TRANFORMATIONAL CAPABILITIES

The exhibition draws on the physical and psychological experiences of different bodies as a place of storage and preservation. The works in this exhibition create space for the inclusive body as a place of origin with transformational capabilities. To see body as archive; body as a transformative tool; a way to explore ways in which language of the body can heal, offer respite, hold memories and initiate growth. The exhibition features work of a variety of media; photography, performance, video, sculpture and painting, responding to the research question 'body as archive'. Each work presents a different route through which bodily experience could be understood. Body as tool, body as home.
