Dear Sisters is a response to the 2018 movement Time's Up, which called for the end of sexual assaults, especially in the performing arts industry of theatre, TV and film. Time's Up followed the #metoo movement which aided to highlight sexual harassment and the unbalanced power it underlines. 1 January 2018 a Time's Up Manifesto was published, addressing its readers "Dear Sisters, time's up." The manifesto, as well as Lisa's performance, wishes to challenge the Status Quo.
